Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, observed by Muslims through fasting from dawn to sunset, prayer, and reflection. The daily fast is broken with a pre-dawn meal (Suhoor) and an evening meal (Iftar). Increased prayer, reading the Quran, and charitable giving are emphasized. The month concludes with Eid al-Fitr, a festive celebration marking the end of fasting.
